Warmest Decade Ever?

21 January 2010 No Comment

NASA released figures earlier today that purportedly show that the decade comprised of the years 2000 through 2009 was the warmest on record.  While NASA won’t release any of its climate data and it still haggles over whether 1934 or 1998 was the warmest year on record, this release was well-timed to help snuff out the recent uproar over the recent Climategate scandal which showed climate scientists falsifying temperature data as well as the Himalayan glacier melt gaffe.  At any rate, let’s sit back and wait for the revisions to come in, which probably won’t make the first dozen-or-so pages of the New York Times if temperature data for the last decade actually trends lower.
