Gore Talks Green in New York
Former vice president, resident green guru and speaker on climate change Al Gore told a sold-out audience at New York’s American Museum of Natural History that he has “absolute conviction that we have all the to solve [several] climate crises.” What are those tools? Demographic changes to slow population growth (is that code for abortion and sterilization?), the education of girls (through specialized global warming classes in public school?), the empowerment of women (to abort those pesky unwanted children?) and the spread of fertility management, better known as free condoms. But one has to wonder how much carbon dioxide was produced to heat or cool the auditorium housing those in attendance of his speech and just how did Mr. Gore arrive? Surely a bicycle ride would have been a bit much from his home in Tennessee. Oh, and Gore is pitching a new book, too. The ex-veep hit out at climate change skeptics (although he won’t debate one in person), asking us to work to create jobs in the U.S. in the renewable energy sector instead of talking up the bad things that could happen to the economy. Mr. Gore, it’s not all about jobs. It’s about the cost of goods and services going through the roof because you and your ilk are attempting to force companies to “go green” by purchasing expensive gadgets to clean up a harmless trace gas. Do you think these companies will write off the costs or pass them along to the consumer? Or does being billed the first carbon billionaire help you ignore the pleas of the working folks?
