“Oddball winter weather” in Colorado caused by global warming is putting a damper on the state’s $2 billion winter sports industry (in my day, we called that “skiing”).  Shorter winters and warmer weather is bringing rain rather than frozen precipitation to the region.  Auden Schendler of the Aspen Skiing Company said, “What matters most is getting people in Washington to know that we care about this.”  So they can get some federal dollars to help stop global warming, perhaps?  Is it time to bail out the winter sports industry?
